The sky they were born under. The planets that shone over their birth town in their first year, with the one seen most often drawn large at the centre: for a baby born in Leeds on 3 October 2026, it is Mars, looking down on them for 308 days. The others gather round it, each sized by the days it is there, with the weeks to look for it at dusk or before dawn, and, if their town sees one that year, the eclipse of the sun. A print for the nursery wall, and something to look up from together on a clear night.

The planet in the middle depends on the date and the town, so children born a few months apart get different pictures. From NASA's records of the planets' orbits, for their town and their first year.
